Dear Lewis and Clark,

I love adventure, so I like your story. I liked when the squirrels swam across the river or when the buffalo ran across your camp. That was amazing! How much is a beaver skin worth? How old was Sacagawea? What was her baby’s name?

If the President of the United States asked me to go on an exploration, I would want it to be to the depths of the sea, of course. I would like to find new animals and see the Titanic. I want to go scuba diving and see the great deeps of the sea.

God is like a strong wind,

Powerful and mighty.

God is like a soft wind,

Gentle and refreshing.

God is like an eraser,

for he erases all our sins.

God is like the full moon

because He is big and bright

and directs us

through dark places.

Jesus is like stairs

because He leads us to God

from earth to Heaven.

God is a turtle shell

because He is a strong protector

and He shelters us from harm.

God is a shade

by the way He protects us

from the world

and shades us

from those who may tempt us.

God wrote His love letter to us

with a permanent marker

so that it will never go away

and it won’t come off our hearts.

God is as creative as a potter making pots.

God is the Light of the world

because He lights our path

and leads us

while we are following Him.

I am a tangled bush.

My bendy branch is home to a spider.

I like to see a spider on my maze of branches.

I have a big root,

And I wonder if my spider will use it for his home.

I am a sheltering mugo pine.

Glittering,

Warming my heart,

Deep, deep in my heart

Showing God’s power.

I see drifting sleds zooming past me in my mind.

It is like Christmas!

My mom did all the paperwork.  My dad and I played Angry Birds.  Then I got my johnny on, and I sure was cold.  I drove my bed into the operating room by myself, and then I got a mask and put it on…………………………  …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. I got ice cream and watched TV.  Then we got a smoothie at Mickey D’s.  We went to Walmart, and I got new shoes.  Then I went home.  I was sore for weeks.
